wedding taking place, the sun setting over the Gulf of Mexico and stars lighting up the sky all on a single evening.

Just a short distance
from the Sandbar you will find "The Waterfront Restaurant" providing indoor and outdoor dinning and beautiful views of Florida's
Intra-Coastal Waterway. Directly across from The Waterfront Restaurant is The Anna Maria Island City Pier Restaurant.
The island has several piers, one of them is the Anna Maria Island City Pier. At the end of the pier you'll find a small tackle
shop, and the City Pier Restaurant where you have to get a bowl of some of the best Lobster Bisque this side of New Orleans. The
kids can cast a line in the water while Mom and Dad enjoy a cold brew, and a spectacular view of the nearby Sunshine Skyway bridge.
The bridge spans Tampa Bay connecting St. Petersburg with Terra Ceia and at 29,040 ft., that's at little over 5 miles across, it's
the world's longest bridge with a cable-stayed main span. The Sunshine Skyway Bridge is truly beautiful to look at and when you go
over it there are places to stop and either take pictures or join the many others fishing there. Dolphins can also be spotted
frolicking around the pylons, which is fun to watch and well worth the stop.
Just north of The City Pier Restaurant you will
find what the locals call the best restaurant on Anna Maria Island. Situated at the end of a 100 foot long pier jetting out
into the water is " The Rod & Reel Restaurant. While walking across the pier you will encounter locals and tourist alike young
and old casting a line into the water and more than happy to strike up a conversation with you. The restaurant has a cozy bar
down stairs, indoor and outdoor tables as well. If you are seated inside the entire restaurant is surrounded by windows.
You will have the feeling of sitting in the middle of Florida's Intra-Coastal Waterway enjoying some of the best food on
Anna Maria Island.
What is so appealing about dinning on Anna Maria Island is a car is not necessary. You can take the free trolley to any
restaurant on Anna Maria Island that is too far to walk and the trolley stops right in front of our condo as well.

No trip to Anna Maria Island is complete without visiting St. Armand's Circle famous for it's dinning and shopping.
You will enjoy a scenic drive south along the shores of the Gulf of Mexico. When you arrive at St. Armand's Circle you
find over 130 shops and restaurant offering both in door and out door dinning including our favorite The Columbia Restaurant.
St. Armand's circle has often been compared to Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.
St. Armand's Circle is only a short walk from
Lido Beach and has shopping and dining options that appeal to all ages. It is especially popular with children, and adults
with a sweet tooth, because of the several ice cream shops. You can watch fresh fudge and candy being made there while
enjoying a fresh baked waffle cone filled with fresh made ice cream while strolling around the circle enjoying the marble
statues and the world famous Circus Ring of Fame where plaques are awarded each year in a ceremony honoring circus greats
from around the world.
